The Man With the Golden Gun
My favourite Roger Moore 007 film, for reasons I set out in the ten-minute video above.
I was delighted to meet the two leading ladies, and Maud Adams generously asked me if I would like a photograph with her (of course, yes!).
My parents actually visited the Thailand locations very shortly after filming finished. I share their photos, cinefilms, and recollections below.

In the below 13-minute podcast episode, I explore some of the British heritage in Hong Kong, which has appeared in three 007 films; You Only Live Twice (1967), The Man With The Golden Gun (1974), and Die Another Day (2002).
Special thanks to Donnie Waldron for recording an excerpt from ‘God Is My Co-Pilot’ by Colonel Robert Lee Scott, Jr. (USAAF) specially for this episode. I also play a very brief clip from “Hong Kong, Gateway To China, 1938”, a classic travelogue you can now find publicly available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIHTrmz4hTI
